Did you think this new chapter of your life would feel different? Maybe you moved to a new city or country, and you're excited about the new opportunities, but you miss your family, your friends, and the life you knew. Things that once seemed simple, like communicating, making friends, or finding a job, may now feel difficult. Perhaps you're worried about the future or constantly wondering whether you made the right decision. Even changes we want can bring feelings of sadness or nostalgia, and it's natural to experience these emotions as you adjust to a new reality.
Or maybe the change you're facing is very different. Instead of moving somewhere new, you're learning to live with a health condition that has changed your routine and your plans. Now you're adjusting to medical appointments or treatments while trying to keep up with your daily responsibilities. Maybe you're worried about your health and the future, or you miss your life before the diagnosis. Living with a health condition can bring difficult emotions, such as fear, sadness, or frustration, and it's understandable to need time and support as you adjust to these changes.
Hi, I'm Emile! I work with children ages 10 and up, adolescents, and adults who are navigating relocation, migration, cultural adjustment, and the emotional challenges of living with a chronic illness. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, share your experiences without fear of judgment, and feel understood.
My approach to therapy is collaborative. Together, we'll explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect your daily life and find ways to manage difficult emotions and situations. We'll also work on making room for those emotions while moving toward what truly matters to you. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish. You don't have to face these changes alone. I'm here to support you and help you find new ways to navigate this chapter of your life.
